About This Project

Brussels painter Arnaud Kool depicts a world driven by instinct and imbued with a sense of mystery and authenticity. Switching from figurative to abstract, whether on the streets or in his workshop, he fields characters who look like they’ve stepped straight out of a contemporary comic book. Unrelentingly pushing the boundaries of his own creativity, Kool creates a world in motion in which he gives pride of place to dark yet often contrasting colours.
